The recipient of a bachelor of science in engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School, Sam Lee is a healthcare executive with more than three decades of experience covering revenue cycle management, operational leadership, healthcare and technology private equity, and healthcare software development. Sam Lee was a partner at the healthcare and technology venture capital firm Kline Hawkes & Co., and co-founded Alta Hospitals, Inc.
Sam Lee is now Chairman of Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc. (PMH), which merged with Alta Hospitals in 2007. Under Mr. Lee's leadership, PMH maintains a portfolio of 17 acute care and behavioral health hospitals in California, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island. It also operates a network of more than 165 outpatient clinics and facilities.
Mr. Lee has prioritized investing in and giving back to the communities that PMH serves. In this regard, the company regularly completes facility upgrades and improvements at its hospitals. Select hospitals also host community health events and invest in charitable care programs. Crozer Health, for instance, has administered over $650 million in charitable care since 2017.
In addition to his work with Prospect Medical Holdings, Sam Lee maintains involvement with the Young Presidents' Organization. In the past, he has served on the boards of the Georgia Tech Industrial & Systems Engineering School, Harvard Business School Healthcare Initiative, California Science Center, Hospital Association of Southern California, and the I Have a Dream Foundation.
